ALR Deadline Looms – You Are Running Out of Time

Why is this important?

Today, ALR landowners have the ability to build up a 2200 SF secondary residence for farm help or family members that complies with the manufactured homes bulletin issued by the ALC. 

However, according to reports, as of December 31, 2020, the max allowable size of a secondary residence on ALR land will be likely reduced to around 1000 SF. 
If size matters to you, then you don’t have much time.

What Is the Deadline?
ALR landowners have until December 31, 2020 to receive an approved building permit – approximately 6 months from that date of this writing.
That may seem like ample time, but the building permit process in some locations can be multiple months.  Add the time of design, engineering, geotechnical and survey to name a few and that makes your available time even shorter.
